Pumpkin Patches All Over

We have visited several pumpkin patches over the last month. Our first started out in Spokane with a trip to visit Grammy & Papa. In Spokane the farms are very close together and FREE yup FREE people. We got to see pumpkins being shot out of cannons
(David enjoyed this the most) mini horses, corn mazes, bouncy house, goats and pumpkins.

Jordan's preschool went to Spooner farms, we went to Jubilee Farms in Carnation and also the Maris farms - WHEW that is a lot

Jubilee Farms we rode a horse drawn carriage and Jordan was extra excited because there were Clydesdale's pulling it. Ever since we went to the fair he has an obsession with them. They also had "Babe" the pig there as well.

Maris Farms David took Jordan and a real Monster truck that they strap you into seats in the bed and take you for a ride. I thought for sure my little boy would cry and be terrified and I advised against it. He LOVED it.

What's been happening

Well here it is 4 months since my last blog. Alright I had to get my groove with both the boys. Needless to say, I found it and was loving staying at home with both the kids. But I am now back in corporate America.

Here are a few happenings

1) I am back at work Mon- Thurs while Lacey is watching the boys

2) Bradley is HUGE, 97% in Height 95% in weigh what a bear!

3) Jordan is potty trained - yup at 2 1/2 fully trained, even at nighttime.

4) We have renovated the yard- Let me back up David has ( I take care of the kids- me and yard work don't mix) we installed a dog run, rented a bobcat, removed some hedges, leveled the backyard and the front, installed new gravel, laid down new dirt ground some stumps and trimmed a huge tree. WHEW I am tried from writing all that. We still have to plant grass, but the yard is looking great

5) David has remained busy and even has two booths at the home show daily and some great reviews on angieslist. Knock on wood, business is picking up. Could be that is does superb work as well.

6) We started hiking, I joined a gym

7)We are surviving the heat wave with our pool and our AC - Jealous **;)

So I am back online and will be posting updates regularly .

Here are some random photos.

The Silver Fox turns 30

David turned 30 on Thursday... Jordan and I spent the day making crafts for Daddy. I made steak and king crab legs, his favorite and we had a low key evening.

I had bought David a remote control helicopter! Like a kid he couldnt wait to fly it, so he Jordan and his brother went outside in the pouring rain to fly it. Not the best use of judgement in the rain outdoors. They then brought it inside the house and I think the total flight in and out was 20 mins then it was broken :(

Happy Birthday My Silver Fox

Deal of the day

Since my dad has been with us for a few weeks now, we have been looking for fun things to do with Jordan. With it raining for weeks straight, the pickings have been slim. We found that KMPS was sponsoring a dollar per entry at the Aquarium. We jumped on this opportunity, it's normall $16.50 to get in. We didnt account for it being Spring Break though.
We arrived at 10 and quickly figurered out it was gonna be crowded. We knew we had to hit the tide pools, seals, sea otters and of course NEMO. Thankfully we did it all and managed to get out as the crowd grew longer and longer. We think hit the Old Spaghetti Factory and much to our suprise, every Tues they have 40% lunch. The three of us ate for $17.00!

What a fun day!!!

It snows in April

It snowed April 1st. I made the mistake of telling Jordan we could go out and make a snowman or a snowball. Little did I know for the next 3 days he would wake up and say "makey ball"...translation, Mom I want to go out and make a snowball.

Opps, dont bribe your kid with mother nature

Puddle Jumping

Jordan and I got a much needed sunbreak on Wednesday, just long enough to take a walk around the neighborhood and say Hi to the Horses! He spashed in all the puddles along the way and threw rocks in them as well ( thanks for the lesson Mom)

Big Brother-Little Brother

I haven't figured it out yet, perhaps I have good children/babies and it's natural for a boy to be protective and loving to his baby brother. Not sure David was with his brother - Lord knows as they got older that wasn't the case, not sure if Renie was ever like that to me.

But boy- Jordan is amazing with Bradley, he is helpful, loving and protective. We were at the play structure at Bellevue Square and a little girl came up to look at Bradley and Jordan ran over and said No! He has done it a few others times as well.

Bradley continues to be a WONDERFUL baby, I mean really good, quite, no issues and SLEEPS. Makes me think why not have more if they are all this good -

Now not saying it's easy having two this close, but as our routine strengthens, it's much more managable.

Here are a few shots of the last week of the boys

The Floor is done

The floor is done, after a week of non-sense ( a newborn, a two year old and a construction zone) The floor is done.

Construction Zone

David and I sometimes get these hair brain ideas at times. Recently we saw an ad for tile on sale for $.49 per sq ft. David being the tile contractor says that is the best deal he has ever seen. So we decide on a whim to get the tile, rip up the dining room floor and also the kitchen.

Little did I know, apparently I am the most high maintenance client David has and a
" slave driver" Hey what can I say, I know his quality of work and I hate waiting - not to mention having to stay out of 1/2 the house and feeding a two year old in the living room is a little trying.

I will post pictures when we are done... it's 9pm Sunday and there is still hammering happening :)

The Drama

Jordan has definitely developed his mamma's dramatic side. Not sure if it is just coming out due to the new baby brother or I am just now seeing it.

Check out how his newest fashion accessory

Bradley Michael Has Arrived

Bradley Michael Newman arrived on 3-4-09 at 7:46pm. He weighed in at 7lbs 12 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Jordan turned two

Jordan turned two on Jan 7th, but poor little guys was sick for over a week. It was to put simply HELL. He had a 104 degree temp for a week, no one knew what was wrong with him, 5 doctor trips later and a co-pay for each ( Boy I am thankful for my FSA account) come to find out he had a viral infection within his mouth.

He was contagious for like 2 weeks, putting off his beloved Thomas the Train Birthday party we had planned.

Luckily everyone was able to adjust their schedule and we pushed it out a few weeks.

Don't feel bad if you didn't get an invite, it was 8 two year old boys running thru m little itty bitty house- would you have wanted to attend?

Holy Cow Update

Ok so I have had this weight on my shoulders and it recently woke me up last nite. You would think I have enough on my mind, I am two weeks shy of my due date, still working full time, still a mom to an adventerous two year old, still a wife and what keeps me up you ask.
This silly blog...
I woke up realizing I havent captured any of the last two months exciting events to share with family and friends. Then I woke up thinking, well heck maybe no one really reads this, but that couldnt be.

So as I tried to log into my account, it only took resetting the password about 5 times, because forgive me I have about 30 passwords floating in my mind at all times. Was it the cat's name, no the dog's name compbined with my birthday, no David's birthday, no his old dogs name... UHHHH enough already with the passwords.

So in a nut shell... Christmas was great, in Jan Jordan turned two my mother another year older, in Feb my dad another year older,I had a baby shower our Nanny turns another year older, I turn another year older.

And yes I am still pregnant... more to follow on that.
