We handpicked a tree and put up all of our Christmas Decorations over this past weekend. This year Jordan actually got into the spirit of things and found out how cool mommy & daddy's ornaments really are. There are bells and reindeer, Oh yea and glittery ones.
One of the funniest things Jordan did was I took out this Iron Reindeer candle holder and he thought it was a pony and proceeded to "ride the reindeer"
David has never been into the decorating aspect but this year he helped with the lights and with Jordan hanging ornaments, and oh yea officially watering the tree. Let me first say that a few weeks back we found this in the a magazine and remarked what a great idea it was, too bad it wasn't that cute.
Here is the description -Randy The Reindeer Watering System
The Reindeer Tree Watering System not only lets you know when your tree needs water, it helps you water with ease! Hang this fun reindeer ornament in your tree, attach his water tube down the trunk, and place the included water sensor in your tree stand (not included). When the water level gets low, his nose lights up. To refill, simply pour water into his open mouth until his nose light goes out. Enjoy a healthy tree without ever crawling underneath it.
Now I want you to know that as David is preparing to water the tree he keeps talking about this reindeer, and I am like yea ok well we dont have it. He then disappears into the garage only to emerge with part of a shower hose and a plastic bottle.
If you know David, you know where this is going...

Thanksgiving
This year we headed down to Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with my dad. We were hoping to catch some nicer weather and relaxation. I ended up being sick with a 24 hour bug right before we left. The weather was great the first day, too bad I couldnt enjoy it sick in bed.
Then next few days it rained in Vegas and was record breaking. Apparently we brought the rain to the desert.
David's brother Mike came with us, and we were all able to take in a show- Penn & Teller, while Grandpa spent some quality time with Jordan.
Thanksgiving was great and we had more than enough food, Prime Rib and Turkey...
We came back with some money and got to enjoy some nice weather before we headed home.

Updates
It's been months since I wrote an update as to what we have been up to. We have had an exciting Fall and are anticipating the Holidays as the count down for the new baby has begun.
Oh in case your one of the few who doesnt know, it's another boy! No we dont have a name yet, but when will do you won't find out - we are waiting until he is born to un-leash the name.
Jordan continues to keep us on our toes and as my belly is ever expanding it's harder and harder to keep up with his pace.
Here are a few pictures of the last few months.

I am growing a baby...
We well have not been blogging the last part of summer. Just too much fun stuff going on. The fair, vacations, the beach - you name it we did it.
Between the sleeping and the morning sickness and an active toddler I just havent felt up to it.
Oh in case your one of the few who hadn't heard... We are having another baby. Due March 9th. That puts me at week 16 today. Finally have things calmed down. I am not running to the toilet ( which is exceptionally clean these days ) everytime I get a whiff of food or a dirty diaper. God Bless my wonderful husband, who has had no problem getting woken up by me yelling, HURRY I am getting sick!!! And has no issue going out at night to pick me up a snickers bar.
I guess you tend to forget all the joys of pregnany- I have noticed the feet swelling and all those cute cute cute shoes in my closet that have to sit neglected for another 9 months before they get any good use outta them. I mean let's face it, there is no way a maternity outfit looks that cute, especially with granny shoes.

SKOT
For those of you who dont already know, Jordan attends SKOT Saturday mornings. It is a mini soccer league for 18 month-2year olds. We kick the ball, have relays & sing songs. He loves it and even though class is only 40 mins long by about 20 he is laying on the field exhausted. Alexander who is Jordan's friend ( they are only like 24days apart) also takes part in SKOT.

You'll never know what you will see
Great Picture of David & Jordan right... well if you look closely at the women in the background, notice that she has a retractable dog leash attached to her son's life jacket. Also notice the little boy is wearing a spandex one piece bathing suit- let me reiterate the little boy!
Poo kid is going to have issues

Welcome Lady Bird
Apparently we lost our minds and thought getting a puppy was the next best thing for us. And no it's not golden color, or housebroken or trained or obedient. But she sure is CUTE!
I rationalize it by saying Mikie needs a friend and Jordan needs a dog to grow up with and maybe David will lay off the 100 reasons we need a dog.
Ok so David claims it’s my anniversary gift. We picked her up Monday night ( romantic anniversary huh ) We originally had a plan, golden lab, golden lab. Well the only golden left was a male and guess what he was the wild one out of the litter, already bitting and bounding and not sitting still. In my mind I said no way in hell.
And there she was, black and a little fluffy and the calmest one of the litter.
She is an 8 week old black lab. So far she is pretty good, a little hard adjusting at night, but hasn’t destroyed anything and whines to go outside and potty. So all in all she is like 1/2 potty trained, follows the other dog around and loves us.
The explanation of her name - Hank Hill's dog from the animated television series King of the Hill. She is named after the wife of President (and Texan) Lyndon Johnson, Lady Bird Johnson.
Again I must be crazy because puppies are a lot of work.
A puppy are you crazy??
We have been going back and forth for months now since Sasha's passing about getting a puppy or not. It is great being a one dog family. So easy, ah but my husbnad the child at heart, loves puppies and not like normal people - he is on the border of a weird obsession with puppies. For weeks we have gone round and round, to get a puppy or not and what breed. I had my big ideas and turns out not so good with kids, David was brought up loving sheps ( German Shepards for those of you who dont know the lingo) I hate their shedding, frankly I am happy with getting a hairless dog. Seeing as they are ugly - I wanted a labradoodle- 1/2 lab 1/2 poodle. No shedding family dog who is super smart- I have been told nothing named Doodle. Forgive me if my husband's man hood is compromised with a dog breed named doodle.
We have finally settled- Lab or Golden Retriever- an all american dog. Next is finding that special dog.
I would like a golden lab. People they are not that easy to find - unless you want to shell out $800. I dont care what bloodlines it has, or that its great granddog dad was best in show. We want a golden dog for a decent price, preferably one who is housebroken, trained, obident and perfect. Oh and looks like a cuddly puppy.
But really who are we kidding. So the search remains on...

Monday June 2nd, David and I celebrated 7 years of wedding bliss. So check out what your suppose to give.
7th Anniversary Gifts
Traditional Gift = Wool / Copper- ok like a sweater or a penny. Or some copper pipe since on the black market they are selling it for a pretty penny
Modern Alternative = Desk Sets - come on really, I must say I think we would both be disappointed if we got the other one this.
7th Anniversary Flower = Jack-in-the-Pulpit- never heard of it.
Color = Off White
Gemstone = Onyx / Yellow Sapphire
I wonder who comes up with this stuff. Anyway Cheers here's to many more years together -
